Canberra Centre arrest

police

ACT Policing arrested a 27-year-old Reid man yesterday morning (Tuesday 12 January) in relation to a First Instance Warrant.

About 10.25am, members of ACT Policing’s Community Safety Team attended the Canberra Centre and located a male who was a person of interest in several burglary investigations. During the arrest, police located and seized two small knives in his possession.

The 27-year-old was transported to the ACT Watch House. He will face the ACT Magistrates Court later today regarding offences relating to the First Instance Warrant and possession of knives without reasonable excuse.

Investigations into several burglary offences are ongoing.

Police remind people they should not report crime information via Facebook and Twitter pages.
