Controlled burn for Yarralumla

controlled burn

THE National Capital Authority will conduct a control burn of the Guilfoyle Street Grasslands this Sunday from 10 am until 1 pm. This conservation grassland is located between Guilfoyle Street and Adelaide Ave, Yarralumla.

Rural Fire Service fire fighters will conduct the burning operation.

This burn is to reduce fuel loads, promote native grass growth and reduce exotic weed species in this area.

The burn will cause some smoke in the area. Every effort will be made to minimise the impact of smoke.
