A 30-year-old man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (Thursday, 6 October) after drugs, cash and ammunition were located in his vehicle.
About 4.20pm yesterday (Wednesday, 5 October), City Patrol officers were conducting mobile patrols in Downer when a vehicle came to the attention of police.
The driver was directed to stop and following enquiries, the vehicle was searched. During the search, police located a sum of cash, a trafficable quantity of cannabis and 37 rounds of ammunition.
The 30-year-old male was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with traffic in trafficable quantity of cannabis, possessing property suspected of being proceeds of crime and possessing ammunition.
Investigations are ongoing.
Officer-in-Charge of City Police Station, Station Sergeant Jeff Knight said that ACT Policing is committed to preventing the supply of illicit drugs into the Canberra community and calls on the public’s assistance.

Police remind people not to report crime to Facebook or Twitter pages.
