Drunk, disqualified and caught yet again

POLICE have caught a 63-year-old Narrabundah man driving while disqualified and driving with a suspension for the third time in three years at around 7pm last night in Stuart Street, Griffith.

Police-afp-cops-9720-400x266After the driver failed to produce a licence, police conducted checks on the vehicle that revealed he had a disqualified licence. The man was given an alcohol screening test which returned a positive result. He was subsequently tested at the City Police Station where he returned a reading of 0.195.

Police say that further checks revealed the driver had been charged with drink driving and driving while disqualified in August and his licence had been suspended until November 26. The man has appeared before the court on 11 previous occasions where he has been convicted for various drink driving offences.

The man was given an Immediate Suspension Notice and will appear in court today.
