Fatal in Campbell

ACT Policing is investigating a single vehicle collision in Campbell this morning (Tuesday, March 15) in which an unidentified driver has died.

At about 12.00am police responded to a report that a vehicle had collided with a wall and caught fire at the intersection of Fairbairn Avenue and Mount Ainslie Drive.

ACT Fire and Rescue were first to attend the scene, extinguishing the vehicle fire.

ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

This is the second person to have died on ACT roads this year.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident who have not yet spoken with police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
