Fatality on the Kings Highway

ACT Policing is investigating a fatal two car collision on Kings Highway in Kowen this morning, (Wednesday 13 July).

At approximately 7.50am police were called to the scene just inside the ACT border.

ACT Ambulance Service attended and confirmed one person had died at the scene and one person was treated for injuries and transferred to hospital.

The Kings Highway is closed in both directions east of the roundabout towards the ACT border while the Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team conduct its investigation. A report will be prepared for the coroner.

This is the fifth person to have died on ACT roads this year.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or report via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
