TURNER Primary School’s annual fete this weekend will raise funds by selling seed “tiles” that can be planted to grow flowers and vegetables.
Seed tiles are produced by a local social enterprise called Paperworks that brings bring together people through recycling, hand print and paper making.
Turner School P&C president Helen Bell says the school had discovered Paperworks’ products through the Snow Foundation.
Snow Foundation CEO Georgina Byron says: “The seed tile packets are unique, and they provide a healthier way of raising funds than selling chocolates or lollies. We encourage more schools to use them as fundraisers.”
The fete will be held at Turner Primary, 10am-2pm, on October 29.
