Gowrie house blaze

FIRE crews are rushing to Gowrie following reports of a house fire.

ACT Fire & Rescue was alerted to the incident at the intersection of Regina Townsend and Corey Place.

ACT Fire & Rescue initially responded with three fire pumpers.

The first crew arrived to find a small cooking fire in the kitchen of the property and quickly extinguished it.

Firefighters are now ventilating smoke from the property.

There has only been minor damage caused to the kitchen.

The ACT Ambulance Service is also on scene assessing a woman for minor smoke inhalation.
