A 25-year-old Narrabundah man will face court today after an attempted aggravated robbery in Fyshwick yesterday afternoon (Thursday 3 March).

About 1.30pm, police were called to the 7-Eleven in Fyshwick following reports of a man with a firearm making threatening demands.

On arrival, police identified a man matching the description provided to police, and drew their firearms as a precaution. The 25-year-old man was arrested and conveyed to the ACT Watch House.

The man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (Friday, 4 March) for charges relating to possessing an offensive weapon with intent and attempted aggravated robbery.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed this incident and have not yet spoken to police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. When providing information, please quote reference number 5931565. Information can be provided anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
