Guns in the Nicholls liquor store

ACT Policing is investigating an aggravated robbery that took place in Nicholls on Wednesday night (27 April).

About 7.45pm two men entered the Celebrations bottle shop on O’Hanlon Place, approached the cashier, produced a firearm and made threatening demands. The cashier complied and the offenders took a sum of cash and cigarettes before exiting the store and fleeing in a vehicle.

The vehicle is described as a White Ford Courier Utility bearing ACT registration number YHV88Z.

Both men were described as being of fair complexion, about 173cm (5’8”) tall and aged in their twenties.

The first man was wearing grey track pants, a grey hooded top and a black ski mask (balaclava).

The other man was carrying a white bag, and was wearing grey trousers, a blue hooded top with red lining and a black ski mask (balaclava).

Police have now located the vehicle and are calling for witnesses who saw the two men or the vehicle around Nicholls on Wednesday night. If you have information, please call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or report via act.crimestoppers.com.au and quote reference number 5953900.
