Man brings a gun to rob the Kippax Woolies

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery that occurred at the Kippax Fair Shopping Centre on Friday (23 September).

Around 9.35pm, a man armed with a firearm entered the shopping centre through the automatic doors near Woolworths.

The man approached the Woolworths front service counter, demanding cash from a staff member. The staff member complied and the offender fled on foot with a sum of cash.

The male offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, tall with a slim build, and had an Australian accent. At the time, he was wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants and a black balaclava or mask.

Police are urging anyone who may have any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6015548. Information can be provided anonymously.

Police remind people they should not report crime information via Facebook and Twitter pages.
