Man escapes by ramming police car

POLICE are searching for a man after he rammed a police car and motorcycle, only just missing an officer yesterday afternoon in Kambah. police vehicles

The crime occurred in Livingstone Avenue, where police officers arrived with a warrant for a seperate man and woman, only to notice a vehicle of interest in the carport – a blue Subaru WRX sedan.

The wanted 34-year-old man rammed a police vehicle, collided into the carport which caused the roof to collapse and rammed a police motorcycle, narrowly missing an officer. The man is described as of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance, about 168cm, slim build with a shaved head and brown eyes.

Residents of the home, the woman and the man, were arrested and two police officers were taken to Canberra Hospital.
