Prizewinning film ‘Ambrosia’ to screen at Dendy

“AMBROSIA” is the first feature film directed by newcomer Rhiannon Bannenberg from  the South Coast. It won the Special Jury prize in the 2015 International Gulf of Naples Film Festival.

It  tells the story of India, a young woman struggling with chronic pain amidst a tumultuous holiday at the seaside with friends.

Filmed entirely in the Illawarra region, “Ambrosia” looks at the little-discussed issue of chronic pain in young people and addresses the issue of its effect on relationships.

The film will be screened at the Dendy Cinemas, Canberra Centre, at 6.30pm on Wednesday, July 20 and will raise funds for Pain Support ACT.

666 ABC Radio presenter Louise Maher will host a special post-screening forum with director Rhiannon Bannenberg and Canberra psychologist Randolph Sparks.
