A 25-year-old Reid man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday, 22 June) on six charges, including being equipped for theft.

About 3.50pm yesterday (Tuesday, 21 June), police attended Dickson Place shopping complex in response to a report of two men acting suspiciously.

On arrival, police conducted enquiries and identified that one of the males was in breach of bail.

The male was found in possession of a knife, a steel post, tools and items belonging to another individual, including an ACT driver license. All items were seized by police.

The man was arrested and conveyed to the ACT Watch House.

The man will face court charged with possessing a knife without reasonable excuse, possessing an offensive weapon with intent, two counts of unlawful possession of stolen property, equipped for theft and breach of bail.

ACT Policing would like to thank the member of the public for contacting police which led to the arrest of this man.
