Simon, Jemima, Humpty and the Teds – Mint condition

PLAY SCHOOL legend Simon Burke will be at the Royal Australian Mint on Sunday with Jemima, Humpty, and the two Teds – Big and Little – for a sing-a-long to launch the Mint’s new three-coin set featuring the show’s famous characters.

Burke has been invited to perform a collection of classic Play School songs, marking 50 years of Australia’s best-known children’s television program. Footage of the on-screen sing-a-long will be shown then Burke and his friends will be around for a meet and greet afterwards.

As well, Mint CEO Ross MacDiarmid will give Canberrans a first look at the recently-released 2016 50c Coloured Frosted Uncirculated Coins

First airing in 1966, “Play School” has been an integral part of the Australian landscape over the past 50 years, appealing to both parents and children over varied generations.

Sing-a-long with Simon Burke at the Royal Australian Mint, Denison Street, Deakin 10.30-11am, Sunday, May 22, FREE event but come early, as space will be limited.
