Summer comedy coming to Uni Pub

“THE Late Show’s” Tony Martin will kick off a summer season of the Uni Pub Comedy Club tomorrow, Friday January 15, with a stand-up performance that looks set to rival his 2015 Melbourne Fringe show “The Arse/Elbow Equation”.

Martin will be followed on January 22 by “The Weekly’s” Tom Gleeson, after which, on February 19, Jeff Green from Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala will finish off the season on the way back from Perth Fringe World, where he will perform his show “This is your life?”

Organiser of Canberra Uni Pub Comedy Club, David Graham, says Martin hasn’t done a show in Canberra since 1994 and adds, “Friday night comedy has been a big hit since the Uni Pub Comedy room has opened. Securing performers of this calibre is a great opportunity for Canberra comedy fans to see these guys in a comfy setting.”

Uni Pub Comedy Club opened in June 2015 and continues to support and showcase local comedians too.

Uni Pub Comedy, London Circuit, City West, Tony Martin, 8pm Fri January15, Tom Gleeson 8pm Fri January 22, Jeff Green 8pm Fri February 19, bookings advisable to comedyact.com.au or Facebook.com/unipubcomedy
