Video / Thieves discover ATMs are very heavy

ACT Policing are seeking witnesses to an aggravated burglary in Fyshwick in the early hours of this morning (Thursday 14 January 2016).

About 1.15am, two males in a stolen white Ford Ranger ute, bearing NSW registration plates BJ54PE entered the Metro Service Station on Barrier Street in Fyshwick.

Once inside, the two males have removed the ATM using a strap attached to the vehicle and then proceeded to drag the ATM down Barrier Street.

The first offender is described as having a thin build, wearing a black long sleeved Adidas hooded jumper, black track suit pants and black shoes with gloves and a white material over his face.

The second offender is described as having a thin build, wearing a dark grey long sleeved hooded jumper, camouflage pants and fluorescent yellow sneakers with grey gloves and white material over his face.

Police urge anyone who may have seen the two men in Barrier Street last night or the stolen vehicle to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Please quote reference 5910290. Information can be provided anonymously.
