Three Bears bare all at The Q

b5b6

“BECAUSE we’re bears, not hippopotums, we’ve got bear feet and we’ve got bear bottoms,” the three bears – Jim Adamik, Kiki Skountzos and Tim Sekuless – rejoiced at The Q this morning as they waggled their rear ends at a young preview audience.

“We’ve got bear heads and bear noses, bear feet and bear toeses/It doesn’t really matter what clothes we wear, ‘cos every little bit of us is bear, ” they continued, before leaving the stage to Amy Dunham as a very hungry Goldilocks.

It was, of course, the media preview of Peter Best’s musical “Goldilocks and the Three Bears,” revived this week at The Q by his director daughter Jordan Best.

This gentle show is for the very young, but who doesn’t like a bear or three?

“Goldilocks and the Three Bears”, at The Q, Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre, January 19-23, bookings to 6285 6290 or theq.net.au
