Wildflower ramble returns to Black Mountain

wildflower ramble

THE FRIENDS of Black Mountain are suggesting you celebrate spring on beautiful Black Mountain with a popular social ramble for wildflower lovers.

On the walk you can discover the surprising diversity of tiny orchids, bush peas, wattles and billy buttons, especially after this year’s rain. Friends of Black Mountain welcomes everyone; experts or new to discovering the diversity.

Meet at the Belconnen Way entry gate to Black Mountain Nature Reserve. If driving from the city, it is before Caswell Drive turnoff – look for balloons.

The cost is a gold coin donation to Friends of Black Mountain.

Bookings are essential. please email your name and phone number to friendsofblackmountain@gmail.com, or phone Linda (0437 298 711) so that they can contact you if arrangements need to change (e.g. adverse weather).

Bring Friends, water, snacks, sturdy shoes, hat, sun-cream. Some relevant books will be for sale.

45th Spring Wildflower Ramble with ANPS, NPA, U3A, ANBG Friends, Field Nats, Saturday 8 October 2016 9.30am sharp to 12noon or later.
