THE media launch of this year’s “Winter Festival” in Garema Place has taken place this morning prior to the event opening to the public tomorrow.

The Canberra CBD website lists the attractions:

Winter Festival in the City has a wide range of activities appealing to couples, groups of friends, families and children alike!

Romantic European styling plus loads of food and beverage options make for fun “après festival” options as well.

Winter Festival in the City will be held in Garema Place, the heart of Canberra City.

Two new exciting rides, the real snow Toboggan Terror and the Giant Inflatable Ice slide, will sit alongside the ice skating rink and European style market stalls.

The event will run from June 23 to July 17.
