ANDREW Lloyd Webber’s London Palladium production of “The Wizard of Oz” is coming to Oz, with Anthony Warlow playing the Wizard and Professor Marvel. The promoters couldn’t resist billing it as “The World’s Favourite Musical”. It’s only a month since we heard the same words about “Les Mis”.

GREAT news that Canberra-born indigenous artist Andy Snelgar is a finalist for this year’s Wandjuk Marika 3D Memorial Award in the Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Award.

LOCAL comedian Jasper Burfoot has joined the long line of artists weighing into American politics by uploading a skit to YouTube where he plays Aussie housewife Agnes, who loves US president Donald Trump “because he’s multi-talented”.

AARWUN Gallery in Federation Square is turning the spotlight on young Canberra artist Solomon Grainger, whose series “Dragon and Boy” will be opened by the director of the NGA’s Scholarship Program, Adriane Boag, at 6pm on Saturday, May 27, all welcome. It runs until June 17.
