Crash family appeals for funds

THE family involved in a single-car crash in Goulburn on May 13 are featured on a GoFundMe page, which is raising money for the family’s recovery.

Kabir and Ema were involved in a crash near Goulburn on May 13.
Following the crash on the Federal Highway near the intersection of Wollogorang Road, parents Kabir and Ema were taken to hospital as well as their three-year-old-daughter and friend.

Kabir suffered from serious spinal injury while Ema has several facial fractures and broken teeth.

The campaign says: “Ema was certain that she was going to die as she lay on the highway with blood pouring out of her face and head, but something in her pushed her to get up seconds before she would have been run over.”

“She is happy to be alive for the sake of her daughter.”

The couple are said to need three to five months to recover physically before being able to work again at their Bangladeshi restaurant “Panchforon” in Gungahlin.
