Local companies vie for business awards

AN academy for digital creatives and an IT quality control service are among the 14 ACT finalists for this year’s Telstra Business Awards.

The Academy of Interactive Entertainment, a finalist in the medium business category, educates and produces the next generation of 3D animators and digital creatives. In addition to courses, the academy has invested $5.4 million and given support to innovative technology start-ups through its incubator program.

Informatech, a finalist in the new business category, delivers quality control as a critical element of modern IT projects.

The full list of the finalists is:

  • New Business: Dex, Informatech,  Ki Acupuncture Pty Ltd, Black Fire Restaurant, Mint Content.
  • Small Business: Capital Chemist Wanniassa, Tailored Accounts, Corporate Catering by Mr Cappuccino, Wholistic Financial Solutions.
  • Medium Business: Barton Private Hospital, Forward IT, ABS Façade, Rork Projects Pty Ltd, The Academy of Interactive Entertainment Ltd.

Winners will be announced at the National Gallery on Friday,  July 21. The national winners will be announced in Sydney on Friday, August 25.
