Man shot and assaulted in ‘violent’ act

A MAN was shot and assaulted by a group of people believed to be part of the Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) last night, September 13, in Kambah.

Police were called to a residence in Pinkerton Circuit, Kambah, at about 10.15pm following reports that a group of men had forcefully entered a residence and shots had been fired.

A man suffered gunshot wounds to the legs, and was assaulted before the group fled the area in a number of vehicles. A woman and a young child were also present at the residence at the time of the incident.

Acting superintendent of Criminal Investigations Matt Reynolds says violent acts such as this will not be tolerated in the ACT.

“This was a targeted incident and Taskforce Nemesis, in addition to every ACT Policing officer will continue to our efforts to disrupt OMCG members and their activities,” he says.

Any information can be provided to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000 or via their website using reference number 6151592.
