Nail-gun robbers hit Vikings club

A STAFF member was injured in the leg by two men fleeing from the Lanyon Vikings Club after taking cash around 11.10pm last night (Sunday, June 11).

The men, dressed in dark clothing, gloves and balaclavas, were armed with a modified nail gun and knife and made demands for cash.

As the thieves were leaving the club, the man with the nail gun shot nails at staff and patrons.  One of the nails struck a staff member in the leg.  The two men ran off  in an unknown direction.

The injured staff member was taken to Canberra Hospital with minor injuries.

Anyone who saw two men acting suspiciously around near the club or anyone with information about the aggravated robbery should call 1800 333000 or via act.crimestoppers.com.au
