Overall served as Queanbeyan mayor for two terms before the NSW government decided to amalgamate councils across the state.

The role of mayor will be decided by the council at its first meeting. The Overall group dominated the election, which predominately saw the election of independent candidates. Only Country Labor, with two councillors, returned more than one candidate.

Former Palerang mayor Pete Harrison was also elected.

The 11 elected members are:

  • Tim OVERALL
  • Trudy TAYLOR
  • Peter BRAY
  • Michele BISCOTTI
  • Trevor HICKS
  • Mark SCHWEIKERT (Liberal)
  • Brian Brown (Country Labor)
  • Radmila Noveska  (Country Labor)
  • Pete HARRISON
  • Kendrick WINCHESTER
  • Peter MARSHALL (Greens)
