A quick rescue to a small Gungahlin fire

A CIRCUIT board attached to solar panels on the roof of a store in Gungahlin caught alight at about 9.39am this morning (August 24).

ACT Fire & Rescue was alerted to the incident on Ernest Cavanagh Street and were able to extinguish the blaze quickly.

Power to the affected equipment has been isolated and around 50 staff and patrons of the store were evacuated as a precaution, but have now been allowed to return to the building.

No one has been injured.
