ON Thursday (February 16) evening three people were found dead inside a water tank on a rural property in Gunning.
At about 6.20pm emergency services were called to a property on Veterans Road after a man collapsed while working in an empty in ground cement water tank.
Police have been told a second man and a woman went to his assistance and also collapsed.
The bodies of two men and a woman, all believed to be aged in their 60s, were located deceased inside the water tank.
Officers from The Hume Local Area Command established a crime scene which will be examined by forensic officers.
The deaths are not being treated as suspicious.
