Triathlon closes popular Canberra road

A POPULAR Canberra road will be shut off in both directions on Saturday (December 16) to support Triathlon ACT’s 2017 Canberra Club Triathlon.

Both directions of Lady Denman Drive will be closed between Forest Drive and the Parkes Way entry and exit ramps at Clunies Ross Street from 6am to 2pm.

This means there will be no access to Black Mountain Peninsula.

The ACT government says other parks in Canberra will be accessible such as John Knight Memorial Park, Bowen Park, Acton Park, Grevillea Park, Molonglo Reach, Corroboree Park, Lennox Gardens or Weston Park.

There will also be access from Forest Drive along Lady Denman Drive to visit the Burrunju Aboriginal Corporation Art Gallery and Café.
