IN a new show at Nancy Sever Gallery, recent works by indigenous artists from six remote communities, hand-printed by the master printmaker, Basil Hall, and his assistants at his BH Editions studios, will be hung under the title “Tim, Tom E., Harry, Rusty, Tiger and Pussycat: Recent Works on Paper with Basil Hall”. Gorman Arts Centre, corner Batman and Currong Streets, Braddon, June 20-22, Wednesdays to Sundays 11am – 5pm.

THE ACT Porcelain Artists Association’s next exhibition will feature hand-painted porcelain portraying the beauty and diversity of Australian flora and fauna. Australian National Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre, Australian National Botanic Gardens Visitors’ Centre, June 19 to July 2. Meet the artists at 2pm, Sunday, June 24.

Coogee – Jennifer Baird
“HERE and there: from Canberra to the Coast” is a solo exhibition of paintings and mixed media work by Jennifer Baird featuring landscapes from Canberra and the coast, Stirato Gallery Mezzanine Floor above Stirato Bakery and Café, opposite the Canberra Outlet Centre, Fyshwick. The exhibition runs until June 30.

DURING Refugee Week, Tuggeranong Arts Centre will hold a forum, “Dark Histories, Bright Futures,” which will explore struggles faced by women worldwide. 6pm, Thursday, June 21. Free but registration essential to info@tuggeranongarts.com The forum is connected with Hangama Obaidullah’s “Street Children of Kabul” and other works, also at Tuggeranong Arts Centre June 7-30.

BELCONNEN Community Gallery’s ‘Respect’ series presents “Corroboree Beats,” an exhibition of painting and sculpture by students from the CIT Yurauna Centre in celebration of NAIDOC Week, Belconnen Community Centre, Swanson Court, Belconnen until July 13, 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.

“CITY Intersections,” curated by Cath Fogarty, presents ceramic work Bridget Bodenham, Cone 11’s Coloin Hopkins and Ilona Topoiksanyi, Helen Earl, Kenji Uranishi, Tania Roillan, Natalie Rosin and Ulrica Trulsson, who have been inspired by the built environment and how the artists interact with it.
