CANBERRA burlesque artist and dance teacher Rachel Reid, who performs as Jazida, has been accepted as one of only three Australian acts to perform at the Burlesque Hall of Fame “Movers, Shakers and Innovators” showcase in Las Vegas on May 31. CRAFT ACT’s Craft + Design Centre has exceeded its goal of raising $10,000 to fund the pilot of the contemporary indigenous craft and design residency and workshop program. Creative Partnerships Australia agreed to match dollar-for-dollar all funds raised up to $10,000.
