FIFTEEN-year-old Christopher Boone is the unusual hero of “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” by English author Mark Haddon, who became an overnight sensation on its publication in 2003. “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” at the Canberra Theatre Centre in the Canberra until July 1. JOHN Paul Young and The Allstar Band present “The Vanda & Young Songbook”, a concert celebrating this song-writing duo’s creations, with hits written for The Easybeats, AC/DC, Grace Jones, Ted Mulry, Vanda and Young’s own studio unit Flash and the Pan, as well as hits written for Young himself. GERMAN composer Jörg Widmann channels the spirit of Beethoven in the Australian String Quartet’s next recital, “Beethoven Widmann Beethoven,” performed with guest cellist Michael Dahlenburg. Musica da Camera
MUSICA da Camera’s  “Strings and Banjo”  concert, marking its 40th anniversary,  will feature pieces by Handel, Mendelssohn, Sibelius and Warlock. The orchestra will be directed by Jonathan McFeat who has been commissioned to compose a new work for string orchestra to be performed by guitarist Liam O’Connell. Canberra Mandolin Orchestra and Rondanihan string band
