Update: Blaze extinguished at Potters Hill

FIREFIGHTERS, dozers and helicopters will again be used today (March 20) to try extinguish the Potters Hill fire. 

Crews have been working overnight to strengthen containment lines but the fire remains under 200 hectares in size.

The Fire Danger Rating where this fire is burning is low to moderate. 

There is little to no risk to life and property in the urban or rural areas of the ACT.

 

Update: 5.20pm

THE Potters Hill fire has been contained and there is no active fire on the ground.

The fire will continue to be patrolled until 48 hours have passed without any smoke sightings.
