‘Deceptive’ robbers target Bonython home

A LARGE number of items such as jewellery, credit cards and car keys were taken from a Bonython home on Friday (September 21).

Following information received from a neighbour and the victim, police located a vehicle in Kambah on Saturday morning believed to be associated with the burglary parked at a residence.

Shortly after, police recovered all items taken from the Bonython burglary and items associated with a recent burglary in Mawson.

A man, 25, and a woman, 33, were arrested and charged with aggravated burglary and obtaining a financial advantage by deception.

Police are reminding the community to be aware of unfamiliar vehicles and people around their residences and if concerned, note the registration, vehicle make and model and a description of the people.

The two offenders will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning.

Anyone who may have any information about criminal activity that could assist police can contact 1800 333000, or use the Crime Stoppers ACT website
