Driver three times over and speeding

A WOMAN on an ACT Probationary licence, who was required to have an interlock device in her car, was caught driving three times over the limit on Saturday, March 31.

The woman, 30, was pulled over by police at about 10pm because she was driving at 149km/h in an 80km/h zone on Horse Park Drive, Kenny.

After speaking to the woman police realised she was required to use an interlock device, which was not fitted to the vehicle she was driving.

The driver provided police with a sample of breath, returning a positive reading of almost three times the legal limit of a full licence holder.

As a Probationary licence holder, the driver is required to have a blood alcohol concentration of zero.

She will be summonsed to attend court at a later date.
