Hellenic Club director Nick Haridemos resigns after backlash from hunting photos. Photo:Facebook
HELLENIC Club director and vice president Nick Haridemos has resigned following an article published by “The Canberra Times”, which shows photos of him posing with dead animals in Africa.

The photos of him next to animals such as a baboon and elephant, which he had hunted and killed, were originally posted to his Facebook page but has since been taken down.

People took to the Hellenic Club’s Facebook page on Tuesday (February 28) demanding for Mr Haridemos to stand down. One Facebook user, Teah Jiacomin, posted on the page saying: “Nick Haridemos should be removed from your Board of Directors. He is an absolute disgrace and I will boycott the Hellenic Club whilst he is still on the board. His photos in the ‘Canberra Times’ make me sick to my stomach.”

The resignation from the board is effective immediately.

It’s hard to be nice about this revolting cretin! What kind of mindless moron could have such disrespect for other forms of life? I truly hope is business goes broke. Who would want to do business with such a monster?
