POLICE have released a face-fit image of a man who allegedly assaulted a boy in Rivett on July 26.

The boy, 12, was walking along a pathway connecting Salsola Street and Darwinia Terrace at about 3.15pm when he was assaulted by the unknown man.

The man is described as being mid 30s, Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm (5’11”) tall, and of medium to solid build. He had an orange beard, and was wearing black sunglasses, a black hooded jumper with the hood up, black tracksuit pants, red socks and black shoes.

He was last seen running in the direction of Darwinia Terrace.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed or can provide information about the incident to contact 1800 333000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website using reference number 6291281.
