Man seriously injured in Civic punch up

A MAN was seriously injured during a fight in Civic early last Saturday.

Police were called to a disturbance on the corner of East Row and Alinga Street,at about 4.10am to find an injured man sitting at a bus stop on East Row, near the Sydney building.

It is alleged the injured man had been fighting with another man on East Row, just outside the Sydney building, and that a woman was also involved in the fight.

Police want to talk with members of the public seen recording the fight on mobile phones, including one witness who is described as a man of tall African appearance, wearing black pants and red Nike shoes.

Anyone who may have witnessed and/or filmed the incident, or has any information in relation to the incident should call 131 444 or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.  Information can be provided anonymously.
