Over the limit and off to court

POLICE have charged a 42-year-old man following a drink driving incident in Lyneham earlier this morning (March 23).

At about 1am,  police responded to a collision on Mouat Street and Northbourne Avenue, Lyneham.

The driver returned a positive roadside breath test and was taken to City Police Station for a breath analysis, where he returned a result of 0.128 (which is more than double the prescribed legal limit of 0.05).

The man was charged with driving a motor vehicle with alcohol in blood/breath and granted bail to appear before the ACT Magistrate’s Court on March 29.
