POLICE and emergency services are searching for a man who is believed to be stranded in near the Blue Range Hut, in the Uriarra area.
The man is in a dark-coloured vehicle, which has been bogged in this area for several days. He has been in contact with emergency services but he cannot identify his precise location.
Anyone in the search area is asked to keep a lookout for the bogged vehicle, and to be aware of search and rescue personnel who are working in the region on foot.
Anyone who has spotted this vehicle in the Blue Range Hut, Piccadilly Circus or Dingo Dell Flats area, is urged to call police on 131 444.
This is the second incident involving a stranded motorist in the area over the past two days and police are reminding anyone planning to venture into snow covered areas, to make sure their vehicle is appropriate and prepared for icy conditions.
