FOLLOWING a tender process, both Stockland and Doma have been appointed to develop the Red Hill Precinct project, according to Minister for Urban Renewal Mick Gentleman.
Mr Gentleman says the project, brokered by the Suburban Land Agency on behalf of the ACT government for a sale price of $50.13 million, will see a product delivered which balances social, financial and environmental benefits for Canberrans.
The Red Hill Precinct will be home to 252 dwellings, including 108 single residential dwellings, and up to 144 multi-unit apartments.
Mr Gentleman says the Red Hill Precinct forms part of the “Asset Recycling Initiative” program but is also part of the public housing renewal program.
Construction on the project is forecast to commence in late 2018.
