Rising storm water closes roads

THE Oaks Estate low-level crossing has been closed due to rising storm water and Majura Road is also closed from Tambreet Street to Mustang Avenue following this morning’s storms.

ACT SES advises residents not to enter storm waters, not to allow children to play in or near storm waters and to avoid driving on unsealed roads.

The Bureau of Meteorology has cancelled the severe weather warning for the ACT. However, the SES says residents should remain cautious as storm water levels will continue to rise as further rain is expected.
