RSPCA ACT announces its new CEO

RSPCA ACT’s new CEO Michelle Robertson with her rescue dog Bowie.
A SUPPORTER of innovative thinking, collaboration and honesty, Michelle Robertson says she will bring these with her into her new role as RSPCA ACT CEO.

Starting on August 13, RSPCA ACT board president Jeffrey Butler says Ms Robertson’s proven track record of leadership makes her the ideal person to lead the terrific team at the RSPCA ACT into the future.

Ms Robertson says she anticipates a “steep learning curve” but is looking forward to taking on the stewardship of Canberra’s only animal shelter and the role she can play in advocating for animal welfare.

“Working side-by-side with the RSPCA team and the wider Canberra community, I aim to continue to build on the solid foundation established under the leadership of Tammy Ven Dange,” she says.

Ms Robertson is backed with expertise in strategic, operational and tactical program and project delivery.

In  2014 she joined Communities@Work, a for-purpose organisation offering a broad suite of community and support services in the greater capital region as a member of their executive team.

Prior to joining Communities@Work, she headed up the operations of a leading international strategic business & communication agency based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

In addition to her for-purpose and community sector experience, she has consulted broadly to a range of other sectors.

And, she says, she shares licks and cuddles from her rescue dog, Bowie, with her family.
