Tharwa Bridge closes for maintenance

THARWA Bridge will be closed for three days so maintenance work such as tightening the bridge’s decking and trusses can be completed. 

The closure, which will be in place between 9am to 3.30pm, will begin on Wednesday, July 18 and will end on Friday, July 20.

During this period, Tharwa Drive will be closed between the entrance to Lanyon Historic Homestead and the intersection with North Street and Naas Road in Tharwa.

Effects on traffic:

·         Tharwa Drive will be closed between the entrance to Lanyon Historic Homestead and the intersection with North Street and Naas Road in Tharwa.

·         During the closure a detour will be in place via Tidbinbilla Road and Point Hut Road. Motorists are advised to plan their trip, follow the signs and allow an additional 20 minutes journey time.

·         If required, works may be scheduled the following week from Monday, July 23 until Friday, July 27.
