Three arrested after lengthy stealing spree

THREE people, who are suspected of being responsible for a range of burglaries over recent months, were arrested over the weekend. 

Early Saturday (August 18), police were patrolling in Symonston when they saw a man and a woman inside a stolen motor vehicle. They arrested the man and woman, and another man at the location.

Later that day, they executed a search warrant at a linked residence seizing a large amount of suspected stolen property such as high end power tools, handbags, clothing, other retail goods, illicit drugs and an amount of cash.

Then on Sunday police seized a large amount of suspected stolen tools from an address in Narrabundah.

The offenders will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (August 20).

Police are urging anyone who meet the criteria below, to contact police on 131444 for the possible return of their tools. Please quote reference 6298997.

  • Members of the public who have previously reported stolen tools between May and August to ACT Police;
  • Have an existing job number/report number; and
  • Have serial numbers for their stolen tools or unique identifying marks.
