Weather keeps Tharwa Bridge open

MAINTENANCE work on Tharwa Bridge has been postponed due to bad weather.

Because of the weather, the bridge will be open, but an extra week is needed to complete the project.

Tharwa Bridge will be closed from Monday, July 23, until Friday, July 27, between the hours of 9am and 3.30 pm – weather permitting.

Tharwa Drive will be closed between the entrance to Lanyon Historic Homestead and the intersection with North Street and Naas Road in Tharwa.

During the closure a detour will be in place via Tidbinbilla Road and Point Hut Road. Motorists are advised to plan their trip, follow the signs and allow an additional 20 minutes journey time.

For up-to-date information on road closures please visit tccs.act.gov.au or call Access Canberra on 13 22 81.
