<body><p><strong>A 36-year-old man is facing court charged with assaulting his partner over the course of several years.</strong></p>
<p>Police allege the man attacked his partner multiple times since 2021, choking her in one instance and on another occasion, causing injuries that required hospital treatment.</p>
<p>The manâ€™s partner reported the incidents to the Tuggeranong Police Station on Thursday,</p>
<p>The man was arrested at about 4pm at a residence in Ngunnawal. He has been charged with choking, suffocating or strangling another person, aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, damaging property and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.</p>
