<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <docID>329707</docID> <postdate>2024-09-25 10:59:02</postdate> <headline>Greens offer cash rebates for e-bikes</headline> <body><div> <p class="m_-8772328337617451062size-20" lang="x-size-20"><strong>The Greens will provide $500 rebates for electric and cargo bikes if they are elected to government at the October 19 poll.</strong></p> </div> <div> <p>The Greens plan would establish a $5 million fund to provide up to 10,000 rebates of $500 to help purchase e-bikes in the ACT.</p> <p>Their bike parking plan will see all ACT government workplaces with more than 20 regular employees have modern, end-of-trip facilities and secure bike storage, and schools will have bike storage facilities equivalent to one third of the maximum enrolled students.</p> <p>The plan will also increase overall bike parking facilities around the city in places such as town centres and bus stops.</p> <p>The Greens plan also calls for a city-wide off-road bike network delivered by 2030, based on the cycling network plan in the ACT Government's Active travel plan.</p> </div> </body>
