<p><strong>Qatar Airways is to re-launch daily flights to Canberra, but it would seem not any time soon.</strong></p>
<p>The company says the daily flights, via Melbourne, to the airlineâ€™s hub at Hamad International Airport in Doha, will begin no later than December next year.</p>
<p>They will be operated by Boeing 777 aircraft.</p>
<p>Qatar Airways ceased operations to Canberra (via Sydney) during the covid pandemic.</p>
<p>The announcement comes on top of Monday's launch of sales of Virgin Australiaâ€™s new services from Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne to Doha (operated on Qatar Airways aircraft).</p>
<p>The Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia partnership is still subject to regulatory approval.</p>
