<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <docID>337589</docID> <postdate>2025-02-04 13:19:59</postdate> <headline>Drug driver makes a run for it</headline> <body><div id="component_278298"> <div> <p><strong>A 36-year-old Scullin woman, who was subject to bail conditions, has been charged with drug driving and obstructing police after attempting to run away from them following a collision she was involved in.</strong></p> </div> <div> <p>At about 5.30pm on Monday, police attended a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Kingsford Smith Drive and Southern Cross Drive, Higgins.</p> </div> <div> <p>The Scullin woman, the driver of a silver Toyota station wagon, was subjected to a roadside alcohol and drug screening test, where she returned a positive result for the presence of drugs, after which she ran off between vehicles on Kingsford Smith Drive.</p> </div> <div></div> <div> <p>She was subsequently arrested. Further drug testing showed a positive indication to methlamphetamine and cocaine.</p> </div> <div> <p>The 36-year-old woman – who was subject to bail conditions at the time of the incident – has been charged with breach of bail, drug driving and obstructing police.</p> </div> </div> </body>
